How HolderMaps works

← Back to demo

In brief

HolderMaps shows the largest observed owners for ranked Solana tokens. This is a dated ownership snapshot, not a live balance feed and not an investment or security recommendation.

Data flow

The frozen pipeline is ranked mints → end-of-day token balances → aggregate token accounts by (mint, owner) → top 500 owners → static index/detail JSON. The browser reads those files only; live Dune, Helius and backend calls are disabled.

Snapshot and ranking

The frozen target cutoff is 2026-09-16T00:00:00Z. Tokens inherit the original product’s activity ranking: transfer count in the preceding UTC day. Daily balances are end-of-day per-address/token/day records, partitioned by month and day; account rows are aggregated by mint and owner before ranking holders. A token remains in the index if its balance snapshot is unavailable.

Graph

Nodes represent observed owners and are sized by share of observed supply. The ported D3 force/collision layout supports pan, zoom, drag and keyboard selection. The graph preserves stored links only; no relationships are invented from co-occurrence. A token with no stored links is shown as nodes without implying ownership relationships.

Limits and provenance

The frozen catalogue contains 10,000 ranked tokens: 9,869 have available balances and 131 remain explicitly unavailable. Covered token details are bounded at 500 owners, yielding 885,274 stored holder records. The list is paginated at 10 tokens per page; it does not display only 10 tokens. Each record carries observation time/slot where supplied; manifests retain source, extraction provenance and file hashes. Missing balances, metadata and links remain missing rather than becoming zero or inferred edges.
