Gas recovery, explained

This is a new Polygon-first demo evolved from the portfolio’s original lending UI. It does not issue a loan: it exchanges a user-authorized native Polygon USDC amount for POL needed for gas, starting from a wallet with 0 POL and no USDC approval transaction.

One atomic executor call

The user signs two different EIP-712 payloads. The USDC authorization permits the executor to receive the exact amount from the user; the operation signature binds the owner, token, amount, minimum POL, reimbursement cap, expiry, nonce and fixed route. Neither signature grants the backend a private key.

  1. Validate chain 137, token, expiry, replay nonce and the fixed operation terms.
  2. Consume native Polygon USDC’s authorization, then approve the fixed route adapter temporarily.
  3. Swap through the fixed adapter and route, requiring output of at least user minimum plus reimbursement.
  4. Send the user the swap output minus the agreed reimbursement, and send the capped reimbursement to the sponsor.

The deployed executor is 0x6340…21cd; the deployed route adapter is 0x807d…e6c3. These links identify deployments, not an independent production audit.

Demo and operation states

Demo mode uses a server-controlled signer but follows the same executor path. Its separate refill and reclaim lifecycle is not atomic across phases. The preview balance is configured by the server (currently 0.25 USDC); the target asset is native Polygon USDC at 0x3c499c542cEF5E3811e1192ce70d8cC03d5c3359.

The public operation endpoint reports pending, completed or failed; the UI reconciles receipts rather than treating submission as success. Per-request/rate limits and a cumulative POL budget must survive restarts, and recovery does not reset that budget.

Verified on Polygon mainnet

On 16 September 2026, a controlled wallet started with 0.25 USDC and 0 POL. One transaction delivered 2.549773 POL to that wallet and reimbursed the sponsor 0.15 POL. The sponsor paid 0.105997 POL in network fees. Inspect the transaction.

That is a measured result, not a guaranteed exchange rate. Public testing is capped; refills are operator-controlled. This demo has not had an independent production security audit. Solana support is not yet included.
